Hayburn Lane Tidy Up.

Dear Green Games 2014

Thank you to everyone who made our Celebration of the Commonwealth such a huge success this summer.

Hayburn Park buzzed with the sound of African Drummers and a performance from the Theatre Studio cast of Cats. It was lunch on us as all our guests enjoyed a Taste of The Commonwealth, with dishes from India, Malaysia, Malta the Caribbean and Scotland and of course pudding in the form of Hayburn Strawberries and Cream. And the Games did begin with Enjoyaball, the football tournament and the traditional races. Thanks also go to the Dance Exercise classes for all ages that got our toes tapping, Arts and Crafts, Facepainting and Wood Carving and Sanjeev Kohli for awarding the prizes.

A wonderful day was had by all and yet again the sun shined on our celebration!

Summer Fete

On Sunday 23rd June 2013, the Sunday afternoon before the schools finish we are having a good old fashioned Summer Fete in Hayburn Park. Delights include, strawberries and cream and wildflowers, delicious homebaking and a treasure trove of bric and brac. Games such as coconut shy, hook the duck and beat the goalie and the Hayburn Races. Special treats such as pony rides and bouncy castle and slide and music. Cake Competition, Adult, Secondary and Primary Categories, entries by 2.30pm please. Join us for a fun day out for the family in beautiful Hayburn Park.Donations for stalls by 1pm on 23rd June or can be collected before if you contact us.

Haunted Hayburn Park Hallo’een Parade

The scariest ghosts and ghouls, witches and zombies gather for a Hallo’een parade around the park, costume competition, best pumpkin, the legendary Tell A Joke Lucky Dip and lots of spooky fun.

Festive Gathering

On the evening of the last day of school before Christmas we have a jolly festive gathering in the park with hot chocolate and carols and festive treats. Wrap up warm and sing a long, it’s Christmas!
