Get working on those Easter Bonnets ready for our Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday 16th April in Hayburn Park. Details to follow and lots of fun and games planned. 🐰

The cycle track that goes round the football pitch is finished and ready for all those future Chris Hoys to practice their skills! Nearly finished is our gorgeous willow tunnel – thanks to Shirley for her work and to everyone who joined us on the building day, including Martin Bartos our local Scottish Greens Councillor-  what a great fun day it was.

The beautiful sandstone amphitheatre is now finished in the park. It has brought the formerly run-down stairs area back to life and we can’t wait to hold some events there this summer. Here are some before and after shots!

Here you can see the work in the toddler area and by the swings to open up the fencing to the grass areas and the new planters have been fitted. Looking forward to growing strawberries here.

Here you can see the cycle path has been started, which goes around the football pitch. Exciting stuff!

We are over the moon that the final phase of our park upgrade has started. The cycle path has been created already and the welcome area for the willow maze is in progress. It is very exciting and should be finished by the 2nd week of March. Please be aware of the parking restrictions until the work is complete and do not park beside the park fence between 9am and 3pm each day so that the vehicles have access. We hope to host a planting day for the new trees, fruit bushes and flowers at the end of March so will hope to see you all there. 

Hi, sorry for last minute blog but The Big Lunch is on. The rain has stopped and the bunting is up so bring something to share and join us from 1pm today for a community lunch with children’s games.

Join us on Saturday 14th May 2016 from 10.30am to give a quick tidy up to Hayburn Lane. Gloves and bags will be provided from the back garden of Number 14. Any time you can spare is greatly appreciated and will improve our unique urban wildspace.
