HPPA is over the moon to have been selected to take part in the Bags of Help fundraising scheme.

This is awarded by Tesco from money raised by customers through the 5p bag charge to go directly back into the local community.

The Hayburn Playpark Upgrade proposal will be on display for customers to vote on in the Maryhill store and the project with the most votes will receive increased funding for their project.

So pop down to Tesco Maryhill and vote for Hayburn Park!

And come along to Haunted Hayburn Park Halloween 2015!

We are over the moon that some of the work has started in the park. The Football Pitch is repaired with new surfacing, steps and grass terracing at the side, and the broken wood stumps, broken bin and seat have been removed.

There are lovely new green benches and chairs, which increases the amount of seating we had. And we have the foundations and safety surfacing in for our new hammocks, which will be fitted as soon as the grass has grown over the surfacing.

At last the beloved Monkey Bars are being rennovated. After finding that they are irreplaceable and after consultation with the community where it emerged that “Doing the monkey bars” is a right of passage in Hayburn Park, fondly remembered by young and old, we are happy to say we have found someone to fix them so they do not have to be removed. Fingers crossed they can be returned to their former glory. More upgrading coming soon, still to come…..lions’s rock – climbing rock…….the cycle path round the football pitch….totum poles, willow and holly tunnels and our orchard. Thanks to everyone for your continued support.

Phase 1 of the renovations to Hayburn Park have begun! In two weeks time we should have a newly resurfaced football pitch, new seating and bins and two hammocks. Can’t wait it’s so exciting!

Just wanted to let everyone know how grateful we are for your donations to the community orchard. We reached our target through crowdfunding with My Park Scotland and, all being well, we should be able to plant our fruit trees in late autumn this year. Watch this space for further information as it would be great if you can join us for the planting day as we will need lots of help.
