Thank you to everyone who joined us in Hayburn Park yesterday for the official reopening after all the work that has been done in the park. Thanks to Martin Bartos our councillor for cutting the ribbon and to Lord Provost and neighbour Eva Bolander for joining us. Thanks also to Sandie Bishop and our buskers, including the Three Busketeers, for being the first performers in our new amphitheatre. Thanks also to all our neighbours for turning out to share our feast and remind us all how lucky we are to live in this great community. It was a special day.

We are over the moon to be winners in the Evening Times Steets Ahead Best Clean Up Category for the renovation work in the park. Thank you to the judges and congratulations to all the finalists and winners – it was quite emotional at the People’s Palace this evening hearing all the inspirational stories of the brilliant work being done all over the city. Proud of you Bonny Glasgow.

Hayburn Playpark Association has been shortlisted this year in both the Best Clean Up Campaign and Glasgow City Council Environmental Initiative Categories of the Evening Times Streets Ahead Awards 2017!

Congratulations to the team, the committee members, helpers, funders and the whole community for supporting the work in the park.

It’s lovely to be nominated, as they say, and we’ll let you know If we bring home the cup after we’ve been to the doo on Thursday 15th June 2017.

Please click on the link above to donate to the painting of the railings around Hayburn Park. This is the finishing touch to all our efforts to upgrade Hayburn Park over the last three years. We have received part funding from Area West Partnership and huge thanks to them for that but railing painting is very expensive!! And so we need to raise more to be able to finish the job. Please help us put the Icing on the Cake.

Thanks to everyone who came along to our spring planting day. We planted 12 new trees and 20 fruit bushes and new hedging at the top of the amphitheatre and lots of colourful stones were painted by the younger helpers. A great day’s work and the weather stayed sunny too!
